Weight is a very sensitive topic, but it must be discussed…

Have you ever stepped on the weight scale and the number you see literally shocks you? And you start having monologues, like, “How the HELL did I get here?”

I have. Severally. Actually, almost every year since I left high school. And get this, the number keeps going up by each year.

Recurrently, I have resolved to “get healthy” and to “start going to the gym“, “eat clean” and “be fit“. Over and over again. But still, the number on the scale haunts me.

I’m haunted. Not because of the weight but because I have done nothing about it all that while. Forget the yo-yo diets lifted off the internet to the “10 quick moves to blast your belly fat” videos from YouTube and the quick-fix supplements. I have done all of that, but still, my weight shocks me every damn time!

You see, gaining weight is so easy; keeping it off ,on the other hand, is the task.

All you gotta do to gain weight is eat and do nothing: don’t run, don’t walk, don’t skip rope; don’t do nothing.

I know right at this point you’re probably asking,

But aren’t you the Francisca who says Plus Size Women are Beautiful in their skin?

Yes, I am that Francisca. She who believes that everyBODY is beautiful, whether big or small, black or white, etc. But I’m also the Francisca that says,

“What will we be proud of if we’re sick? What will we be proud of when our weight becomes hazardous?”

Like I stated earlier, weight is a sensitive topic, but it must be discussed.

And I’m not doing this for show or for ratings, I’m doing this because I know what it means to be plus size.

Being plus size means having to get on some typa hustle looking for clothes that fit, having to worry if a guy likes you, having to worry if you’re the Duff in your clique of friends, and so much more.

But guess what? You don’t have to play victim anymore. Take control of your life and start by being healthy: emotionally, mentally & physically. Get your body, mind and soul in check.

Trust, I have been through it all. It’s like crawling in a dark tunnel and at last seeing some light. With my weight gain, I went through stages of shock, denial, depression and finally acceptance. I have made a decision to take control of my life and this time, actually do it. Not for anybody, but for me.

CurvyFit is indeed my light: it is affordable, flexible, and fun.

It has already begun. The first bootcamp is now 2 weeks on. And you can also be in the next one. You’ll have trainers to mentor you throughout the three-months programme. They’ll be there for you on a 24/7 to answer your queries and support you through the entire process. Well, truth of the matter it’s not gonna be easy – if it was easy, everybody would be fit & healthy right now.”

Ladies and gentlemen in the Plus Size Community, allow me to highlight that we ought to actively do something regarding our weight.

Plus Fabulosity & Team Ripped International are here to help, but you gotta meet us halfway.  Contact teamrippedinternational@gmail.com and see what it could do for you.

Just make the decision to be healthy!

XOXO,
